Apple iPhone 4G to have video calls?

Apple iPhone 4G to have video calls?Rumours are rife surrounding the potential features of the Apple iPhone 4G, after mobile network O2 mistakenly listed prices for video calling on the handset on its website.

According to reports, the phone service provider updated its tariffs for the iPhone and stated that video calling would cost the same as normal voice calls.

Now, as far as mobile phone news goes, this wasn’t really that interesting – until people started kicking up a fuss about what that could mean for the next generation of the smartphone.

According to Pocket-Lint, the update “lends weight to rumours that the next iPhone will come with a front camera and video calling capabilities”.

And even though O2 got in touch with the website to say that it was in fact an error, it rightly suggested that there was no denial that a potential iPhone 4G wouldn’t have video calling – just that it wouldn’t be priced the same as normal calling.

However, I personally find this all a bit mundane – is video calling really worth getting so worked up about?

I mean, other handsets have tried it and it’s fair to say it hasn’t taken off at all.

But that’s just me. What do you think? Would you adopt video calling if it were included in the new iPhone?

Some of the features that would be more appealing, in my opinion, would be those listed by Phones Review, such as external keyboard support, improved battery life, better sound from the built-in speakers and superior 3D graphics.

What would you like to see on the new iPhone?
