Orange has announced new three new offerings that could have mobile gamers weak at the knees.
Apple iPhone owners look set to benefit from the new Orange iPhone Games service, which will give all customers of the gadget access – via the Apple App Store – to a number of games designed by the network.
Some of the examples given include off-road racing titles and card games such as poker and blackjack.
But fear not, iPhone-less Brits.
Orange also revealed details of Playtomo, which is available to customers of all networks and internet-enabled handsets.
It is "the new social gaming service from Orange designed specifically to be used with customers’ favourite social networks such as Facebook," the firm stated and can be downloaded from Orange World.
And if you thought gamers were already having their cake and eating it, think again.
The mobile provider has launched Games Zone too – a subscription-based service just for Orange customers that will give them two games each month in return for a monthly payment of just a fiver.
Commenting on the news, Neil Holroyd, head of gaming products and services for Orange, said: "Innovative gaming services such as Playtomo and Games Zone give customers the best possible gaming experience and value for money on their mobile phone, while enabling us to develop our offering and maintain our lead as the number one gaming operator in the UK."
The network recently picked up two gongs at the Mobile News Awards 2010 – the UK’s Best Large Retailer and Best Innovative Service accolades.
