The LG Arena KM900 has been launched in an exclusive new colour on the Orange network.
According to the South Korean manufacturer the carrier was chosen to be the sole distributor of the latest pink version of its flagship multimedia handset, which was launched earlier this year.
Cited as a real challenger to the touchscreen dominance of the Apple iPhone 3G by some sector commentators, the LG Arena is a smartphone that already boasts a number of attractive features.
In addition to the three-inch touch-enabled WVGA display, the gadget is equipped with a five-megapixel camera and 8 GB of internal memory storage that can be expanded to 40 GB using a microSD card.
Commenting on the launch, head of marketing at the manufacturer in the UK Jeremy Newing said: “LG and Orange are enjoying working together to bring popular models to market and expanding ranges.”
Another new device to be highlighted this week is the Motorola Rival, which was detailed by its creators in a statement to celebrate its addition to the Verizon Wireless range of mobile options in the US.
The firm said the handset could be ideal for those who like to text and email as it boasts a backlit slide-out qwerty keyboard and rapid access to a host of other messaging options.
The device also features a 3.5 mm headset jack, microSD card support and an integrated media player, as well as a two-megapixel camera. The Rival joins other models in the Motorola range like the ROKR, RAZR and Aura.
