The LG VX11000 enV Touch is a smartphone that builds on its predecessor and is capable of delivering on features such as text and email messaging as well as web facilities, it has been advised.

In an article for Mobile Burn this week, Michael Oryl looks at the follow up to the South Korean manufacturer’s VX10000 Voyager model and notes that in both the firm has created “a fantastic device”.

However, he goes on to say that although many people may be put off with the size of the handset, they are likely to find it difficult getting hold of a similarly-equipped gadget with smaller proportions.

In addition, he explains that taking into account the many smartphone aspects of the device – as well as its full qwerty keyboard and three-inch touchscreen – Sony Ericsson have successfully built a model that is “as good as it gets”.

“For people that want great web browsing and messaging abilities as well a capable camera and large displays for watching videos, the enV Touch was made for you,” Mr Oryl concludes.

His comments follow research this week that suggested consumers were becoming increasingly reliant on smartphone technology as many now store information on their handset that is essential to their daily lives.

Conducted by Mformation, the study showed 94 per cent of people use their mobile to keep telephone numbers, while 65 per cent also store addresses and other contact data on their gadget and 48 per cent use it for important dates.

Mformation said: “With ever-increasing phone and network capabilities, this trend […] is set to continue.”
