Professionals looking for the next best thing in mobile computing have been advised by Motorola that the firm’s ES400 global Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) is a great option for commercial users.
According to the company, the device will be useful for a range of individuals across a number of sectors, with the "compact and lightweight design" offering push-to-talk capabilities.
It noted that the technology is the latest development in workforce mobility and the organisation’s Gene Delaney said it had been manufactured with businessmen and businesswomen in mind.
He commented: "Motorola recognises that mobile teams are the lifeblood of an organisation and empowering these teams with unmatched features and functionality to eliminate road blocks in the field is critical to an organisation."
Mr Delaney added the EDA is able to merge the top elements of communications with a slick appearance, while not compromising on functionality.
Employees working out of the office will be able to "capture information with a single click", he explained, something that is likely to be of great use to individuals who spend a lot of time with customers.
Features listed by Motorola as being central to the ES400 include one-button push-to-scan abilities, a "super-bright" three-inch video graphics array screen (VGA) and a durable construction for a variety of environments.
The firm, which recently announced the launch of its USBw 200 mobile WiMAX USB adaptor, claimed the handset is perfect for anyone working in the retail, healthcare, utilities and field sales industries, as it enables personnel to access "business-critical applications" whenever and wherever they wish.
Well, that’s what the manufacturer had to say about it, but do you intend to buy it?
