When gadget publication Gizmodo accidentally got its hands on what was believed to be a prototype of the next generation of the Apple iPhone, everyone went mad with excitement.
‘It’s got a front-facing camera!’ they said.
‘It’s got an improved display!’ they screamed.
‘It runs on iPhone operating system 4.0!’ they cried.
But I can’t help but think the majority of people may have been a bit disappointed with the revealed features.
Where are the innovative and potentially even revolutionary ideas that gadget lovers are expecting with the new phone?
One person who seems to have been let down by the prototype is Ludwig Makhyan, founder of ConceptMobiles.com.
He reckons there was “nothing surprising” in the aspects of the smartphone and added Apple “could do much better on the new iPhone”.
Going on to suggest details that could improve the mobile, Mr Makhyan stated: “With the mobile phones market emerging fast, the iPhone should have the front camera with video chat functionality. Another addition to it would be at least a five [Megapixel] camera with 16 million colours for the display.”
However, he did add mobile TV could be featured on the phone due to the higher resolution display that was included on the prototype model.
All speculation aside though, it looks like we could find out exactly what will be featured in the final device soon.
That’s because Apple recently announced the date of the Worldwide Developers Conference – June 7th – which is widely believed to be the launch date of the next generation gadget.
