The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a device that will appeal to those who want fast access to a range of communicative tools as well as the latest audio technology, according to the manufacturer.
Announced recently alongside two other new devices – the Nokia E72 and 3710 Fold – the Finnish group said this week it had attempted to create a phone that would offer fast access to a host of social networking features.
The 5530 has user interface boasting one-touch shortcuts to both MySpace and Facebook, as well as a scrolling contacts bar that keeps track of up to 20 of the users contacts and their latest updates.
In addition, it is noted the gadget will follow in the footsteps of the flagship XpressMusic phone that came before it – the Nokia 5800 – in providing touchscreen access to all types of media.
“The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a great music player with 27 hours of playback time, excellent audio quality and a 4 GB memory card for storing music and other media,” the manufacturer said.
Also onboard is a “brilliantly clear” 2.9-inch screen, Nokia Music Store access, GSM and EDGE connectivity, 3.2-megapixel camera with 4x optical zoom, 3D surround sound, a 3.5mm headphone socket and WLAN wireless facilities.
The Nokia E72 is billed as a replacement model for the “hugely successful” E71 device and is equipped with a full qwerty keyboard. The 3710 Fold is more of an entry-level handset and is designed to combine style and functionality.
