The Nokia 6303 Classic has been praised as an ideal option for those looking for a low-cost mobile phone that incorporates a robust feature set in a sturdy casing, while remaining affordable.

According to an article for Electricpig, a site which offers news and reviews on a host of electricals as well as cellular devices, the Finnish manufacturer has followed up the 6300 with a model that could be equally as popular.

In addition, it was noted that users of the aforementioned handset may like to consider the 6303 Classic as a replacement, as it is clearly designed as a follow-up to its sibling.

Joe Minihane said in a review for the online portal that it is very likely many people will know someone who still has a 6300 Classic as it is a favourite with those who need a straightforward and reliable mobile that is also cheap.

He went on to say the 6303 is similarly priced – as it is available for £100 on pay-as-you-go – but added that just because it is “a basic blower doesn’t mean it’s a slouch”.

“Far from it,” Mr Minihaine explained. “This mid–level blower rocks a 3.2-megapixel camera, Opera Mini for web browsing, Nokia Maps and a battery life to sate the biggest of chatterboxes.”

Other features noted include a tough stainless exterior capable of putting up with “endless knocks and scratches”, as well as the Symbian S40 operating system.

Earlier this week, Flora Graham said in her review for Cnet that despite its very affordable price, the Nokia 6303 Classic was still able to cause “a tingle of excitement”.
