One of the latest devices to be announced by Nokia is designed to take text messaging and approach it in an innovative new way, the manufacturer has advised.
This week the company unveiled the Nokia 7705 Twist and took the opportunity to highlight its “unique” swivel design and square shape, while pointing out that buyers could also be doing their bit for charity.
It was noted that in certain markets Nokia would be operating a programme that would offer those who purchase the handset a free picture frame phone lanyard that is aimed at raising awareness for the HopeLine anti-domestic violence trust.
Although no official UK release dates for the Nokia 7705 Twist have been confirmed, the company did use the opportunity to run through the various features the mobile has to offer.
In addition to its styling, a full qwerty keypad has been fitted to the gadget with fast access shortcut buttons, a three-megapixel camera, web browsing facility, speakerphone option and Nokia Xpress-on covers.
A media player for games, ringtones and music is featured and Bluetooth support, a 2.5mm headphone jack and 2.4-inch QVGA screen may also be of interest to buyers.
Nokia Conversations, an online resource that consideres the latest movements and developments of the Finnish firm, looked at the 7705 Twist this week and drew attention to its status as a messaging-focused mobile.
“The 7705 Twist is also blog-savvy, enabling you to communicate with the world via a simple post to blogs feature that also can fire out your snaps and text to social network sites,” the site added.
