Nokia_X6_black_red_homescreCould the Nokia X6’s, Nokia’s latest music phone save the Comes With Music platform? Probably not, now that Spotify is available on Symbian devices. Even with the help of R&B star Rihanna, who helped launch the phone in September it doesn’t look like CWM is going to set the world on fire anytime soon. Especially since the ‘free’ music is only free on exclusively on Orange contracts.

Fledgling mobile music platforms aside, the X6 is something of a beast. It has a huge 32GB of on board memory, plenty of space for pics, apps and audio tracks – wherever you get them from.

The X6 features the same 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash set up that is now the standard of all Nokia smartphones. Sure there are bigger cameraphones out there, like the Sony Ericsson Satio with its 12-megapixel shooter, but who wants to take pictures the size of a house? If only to recreate that ‘Kicking Bishop Brennan up the Arse’ bit from Father Ted.

The 3.2-inch touch screen of the X6 features the 16:9 widescreen display ratio and has been optimised for viewing pictures, videos and web browsing. Flash Lite is supported meaning you can watch YouTube vids on the go. TV-Out, another mainstay of Nokia’s high end phones makes an appearance here, meaning you can watch videos of cats and your friends falling over in the pub on your TV.

The Nokia X6 is available now on 24 month Orange contracts of £35 or more. Phones 4U is currently running a promotional offer which sees you reducing the monthly payments to £25 a month if you trade in an N-series handset (N95, N96 etc).
