Pre-orders for Apple iPhone 4 'sell out'Those gadget fanatics who are planning to buy the new Apple iPhone 4 may have left it too late to receive the product on the day of its launch.

It was available to pre-order from yesterday (June 15th) but the demand was so high that by the evening Apple were saying all new orders for the iPhone 4 will not be processed for a further week.

The company’s latest creation is due for release on June 24th in the UK but many enthusiasts who attempted to sign up for their gadget yesterday were left disappointed after they had problems accessing the site.

However, those who missed out may still get the chance to get their hands on the must-have gadget next week as the Apple store will be putting a number on sale for walk-in customers on the release date.

The demand for the handsets is caused by a range of new features, which stands this new model apart from its predecessor.

Not least is the iPhone 4’s remarkable display, which contains four times more pixels than the previous design.

The quality of the screen means consumers can view movies in high definition (HD) and new technology also allows users to have HD editing facilities.

Improvements have been made to the casing of the phone as well, with the most noticeable being the slimness of the new design. At just 9.33mm it is the thinnest smartphone on the market.

With all the hype that has surrounded its launch, the iPhone 4 has high expectations to live up to but from what has been presented so far there is every chance it will.
