UK network 3 Mobile has announced it has made its tariffs cheaper by offering a new pricing structure for those looking to travel around Europe.

The carrier said this week that customers will now be able to enjoy the lowest prices in the UK with regards roaming fees on its mobile phones and broadband dongles.

It was noted that from June 30th, users will be able make calls between EU countries and the UK at 34p per minute, while calls received will be priced at 15p per minute.

Text messages sent from a 3 Mobile phone while in Europe will be charged at 11p and these will remain free for users when the SMS in question is sent to their inbox.

In addition, mobile broadband users can expect to use their 3 Mobile dongle to enjoy access to online services at £1.25 per MB.

“Whether you’re headed for the Algarve in July, hitting the Alps in November, or taking a city break in March, all 3 customers can expect consistent, simple pricing 12 months of the year,” the firm added.

It was also announced this week that the network would be expanding its range of mobile phones by bringing the new Nokia N97 to its customers – and would include access to Skype services as part of the package.

The handset was announced by the Finnish manufacturer at an industry event in Barcelona last year and went on sale earlier this month – on the same day as the refurbished Apple iPhone 3G S and its sibling handset the Nokia N86.
