A number of models have been added to one South Korean manufacturer’s range that are claimed to provide something for everyone in terms of multimedia, office facilities and messaging.
The four new entries into the Samsung Omnia line up were unveiled this week – and the firm took the opportunity to highlight the many and varied options each provide.
Noted as a model offering a clear focus on multimedia, the Omnia II was the first of the handsets listed. Attention was drawn to the inclusion of Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen capable of "crystal clear" image reproduction.
Also known as the I800, Samsung explained these features make the model ideal for both business and pleasure, while other options like a five-megapixel camera, DivX support, plus video recording and editing were mentioned.
Next up was the Samsung Omnia LITE, which has a multi-push email system and support for 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi – which could make it a solid purchase for those who stay connected via social networking and web-based messaging.
In addition, the model comes with a three-megapixel camera, A-GPS, Microsoft Office, DivX playback, Bluetooth 2.0 and 250 MB of memory expandable to 32 GB.
Rounding out the line up were the Omnia PRO B7610 and B7330, which are both equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5, the former using Professional and the latter settling for Standard.
Other features include HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0 and W-Fi – although it is clear the specifications of the B7610 make it the more powerful of the two.
O2 recently announced it would support the Samsung Galaxy i7500 in the UK.
