A new handset has been highlighted in a review for its status as a solid phone for basic voice calling, as well as some hidden messaging options and high-speed networking facilities.

In an article for Mobile Burn this week, Ricky Cadden looked at the Samsung SGH-T559 Comeback device and noted with a hidden qwerty keyboard sitting behind a traditional numeric pad, it is clearly designed for those who like to send messages via text or email.

He explained the dimensions of the model are based on a “rather large” candybar-style design with an external display measuring 1.5-inches and a pearl-white and purple or red casing.

Mr Cadden goes on to say despite its size and low-budget looks, the Samsung SGH-T559 Comeback “does feel rather nice in the hand” and although small, the outside display is bright.

Inside, the reviewer drew attention to the larger 2.5-inch WQVGA screen that boasts a 400 x 240 pixel resolution display and sits alongside the full internal qwerty keyboard.

Quad-band GSM support, dual-band 3G and access to HDSPA revealed “surprisingly strong” network connectivity and the article went on to praise the phone’s ability to maintain this level of reception even in areas known to be traditionally hard to attain one.

The web browser software is described as “actually quite speedy” and the ability to personalise the gadget’s dial screen is something Mr Cadden suggested many will enjoy.

He concluded: “The browser is snappy, but ultimately incredibly limited and the camera produces poor results, as well. On the bright side, the battery life is decent, easily lasting an entire workday and the call properties are solid.”
