Two new reviews have emerged this week that could be of interest to those looking to upgrade their current handset but find themselves tied between a messaging and photography-focussed model.
In an article for Tech Radar, the latest addition to the Cyber-shot range – the Sony Ericsson C903 – was put to the test and the reviewer explained that although it would struggle to compete with a number of other top-end gadgets, it was a decent enough entry-level product.
The piece suggested the Nokia N96 and LG Viewty were among the models that would clearly give the C903 a run for its money, but its integrated five-megapixel camera was capable of producing “detailed and accurately colourful” images.
In addition, the inclusion of autofocus, a macro mode and a solid menu system made the latest Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot an “easy to use and a reliable performer”.
“The C903 is a comfortable cameraphone for everyday use. It’s not the most sophisticated five-megapixel shooter you can find, but it … does a decent job on its spread of features,” the piece concluded.
Elsewhere, Brian James Kirk wrote in a review for Mobile Burn this week that the Motorola i465 Clutch device had a number of text-based features that made it worth consideration.
The phone was praised for offering a full qwerty keyboard that crams the buttons together just enough to keep the unit compact – without losing any of its comfort when in use.
“The buttons are cut at sharp angles which make them very usable,” Mr Kirk explained.
