iphone3gs_compass2WEBYes people Steve Jobs, or ‘techno moses’ as some like to call him, is due to give the keynote speech at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference on June the 7th. The internet has been on fire with rumours that suggest that he is going to reveal the all new iPhone, surely an announcement which will kill the internet for about ten minutes.

We’re fans of the iPhone here at select mobile but just like unscrupulous kidnappers we have a very strong list of demands that we expect to be delivered by Mr.Jobs. The first on the list is a better camera. Rumours suggest that the new iPhone is going to have a 5-megapixel affair, which is a massive improvement but still lagging way behind the cameras present on competitors’ phones. We also expect some usability improvements from the all new software that we assume is going to be onboard the new iPhone.

What we really want though is true multitasking so you can have a few apps open at the same time. As the number and variety of useful apps increases we can see the demands for this to shoot upwards. We want to be able to play Football Manager 2010 and order a taxi using an app at the same time.

Maybe we’ll be totally shocked and Mr.Jobs doesn’t reveal an iPhone but instead some all new type of WiFi enabled Vacuum cleaner that will talk to you if you’re lonely as well as remove troublesome carpet stains. Or maybe not.  Like all of you we await with baited breath to see what the pied piper of tech has come up with this time.
