Three is the UK’s number one mobile broadband provider, according to a new report.
This news could inspire a number of broadband customers to contemplate whether or not their current broadband deals are meeting their needs.
A YouGov survey of more than 2,000 customers across the country saw the 3G provider rated as the best in the UK, beating off competition from rivals Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile.
Joe Parker, director of mobile broadband at Three, said: “It is a customer endorsement of the massive investment we have been put into our network over the past two years and the speed at which this programme is developing. The network continues to grow in reach, speed and capacity.
“It also shows that what customers value most when it comes to mobile broadband are reliability, speed, coverage, ease of use and great pricing – areas where we excel.”
Customers were asked by the poll to rank their broadband provider on a number of key categories.
These included installation of software, network coverage, getting and staying connected, evening and daytime reliability, download and upload speeds, ease of use, customer services, billing and overall quality.
Three was voted the best broadband provider for ten of the twelve criteria.
According to the firm, which has a 35 per cent share of the UK’s mobile broadband market, the customer satisfaction can be attributed to it having the best deals at £15 per month for 15GB, “great” pay-as-you-go offers and the “most competitive” iPad tariffs in the whole country.
